John Holland were contracted by the NSW Department of Justice for the construction of the expansion works on the Dillwynia Correctional Centre in Sydney, NSW.
The expansion includes 248 maximum security beds and education facilities to the existing women’s correctional facility and, visitor processing building, health, reception and industries building, programs and inmate services building, education building, segregation building, five accommodation buildings, recreation areas and trauma informed landscaping.
Dillwynia Correctional Centre opened in 2004 and is spread over a seven-hectare site. The area of the facility will grow to just under 10 hectares as a result of the expansion.
