Besix Watpac were contracted by The Department of Correctional Services to construct the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre in NSW. The new facility operates in conjunction with the existing minimum and maximum security facilities and includes:

• Four new accommodation blocks, each with 110 beds and an exercise yard, industry building, programs building, health Clinic, segregation Building, custodial Offices, secure pathways and outdoor recreational areas, with secure perimeter and integrated security system.
• Refurbishments works to the gatehouse, visitor building, staff amenities, reception and electronic services.

In 2019 Hutchinson Builders received the Master Builders NSW Regional Excellence in Building Award for this project.
